Hollyoaks Later Trailer - Monday 25th October 2010

Hollyoaks Later often use title crads inbetween the trailer clips to engage further with the audience. In my soap trailer, I have decided to use the same convention.

The title cards break up the clips and keeps hold of the auduiences attention. It also allows for the clips to be shorter as well as tying them together and giving them a context. This is useful because the audience always knows what is going on in the trailer and it makes them more likely to tune in to the broadcast.

The title cards can also be used to create a cliffhanger. Things like "All will be revealed" or "an unexpected twist" attract the audiences attention and intrigue them, making them more likely to tune in and watch.
