To film my preliminary soap trailer I used my Nikon D5000 HD camera and used Adobe Premier Elements 8.
Throughout filming and editing, my group and I encountered a number of problems:
- Finding a location where the diegetic sound was low enough for the dialogue to be recorded effectively.
- Asking extras to stay in the right positions in the shot.
- Doing multiple takes when the actors fluffed lines or laughed.
- Transferring the video footage off the camera on to each member of the group's external hard drive.
